Benefits to Owning an Electric Vehicle

There are so many benefits to owning an electric vehicle like the Nissan Leaf or soon the all new Nissan Ariya. Not to mention, federal and Pennsylvania tax credits and rebates.

Pennsylvania Alternative Fuel Rebates Program

Beginning September 1, 2022, Pennsylvania’s new alternative fuel rebate program is getting a makeover. Some of the highlights include:

1. Maximum household income levels for eligibility will be lower.

2. The rebate for battery electric cars and trucks will be higher.

• Battery electric cars and trucks will qualify for a $2,000 rebate (up from $750). Example: A family of two with a household income of $69,000 is eligible for a $2,000 rebate for a battery electric vehicle. A family of two with a household income of $35,000 is eligible for a $3,000 rebate for a battery electric vehicle.
• Plug-in hybrid cars and trucks will qualify for a $1,500 rebate.
• All other alternative fuel vehicles, and electric motorcycles, will quality for a $500 rebate. (1)

3. The rebate amount will be the same for new and pre-owned electric vehicles.
